Spring concert Vegas Orchestra - Martinuskerk
The Vegas Orchestra starts its new concert series on 12 April in the Sint Martinuskerk in Weert. During this spring concert, the orchestra accompanies a specially formed project choir together with renowned soloists. You will experience an afternoon filled with choral singing, orchestral sounds and vocal excellence in a special setting. A concert for lovers of choral music and grand orchestral works.
Three choirs, one project choir
For this concert, three regional choirs join forces. Con Amore from Weert, Mannenkoor Maas en Neergalm from Neer and Meijels Mannenkoor together form a large project choir. Their voices fill the church and create a powerful and layered sound. You can hear how collaboration sounds when dozens of singers unite as one.
Top soloists and musical direction
Baritone Marco Bakker and soprano Donij van Doorn appear on stage as soloists. Donij van Doorn was a soloist with André Rieu for seven years and, together with Marco Bakker, brings experience and stage presence to Weert. The concert is conducted by Pieter van den Dolder in collaboration with choir conductor Sylvia Berghs. Their musical direction connects orchestra, choir and soloists into one continuous musical story.
Closing
In the atmospheric Sint Martinuskerk, everything comes together: orchestra, choir and soloists strengthening each other in sound and emotion. If you would like to experience this concert yourself, mark 12 April in your calendar.
