Swartbroek is situated in beautiful surroundings with the nature reserve the Krang as its centre.
It used to be a swampy area. Due to the drying up of some parts of the area, sand ridges were created on which, among other things, Swartbroek was built. The area has a nice variation of fens and dry areas. At various places you will find wooden footpaths through the beautiful nature reserve.
This route takes you via a bat path to the bird watching screen. From here you have a nice overview of the present flora and fauna. Furthermore, through a lot of wooded nature, past fens, windmill De Hoop and the war cemetery in Swartbroek. Dogs are welcome, but on a leash.
Underground: paved and unpaved roads.
Detailed route information can be found in the brochure Grenspark Kempen-Broek Swartbroek - De Krang. This brochure contains 4 beautiful walks through the nature reserve De Krang and the Limburg village Swartbroek.
The folder is available in the different VVV locations.
