Places of interest

In ancient times the house 'De Malborgh', also called 'Walbergh', seems in ancient times to have been in the possession of the family van Ghoors, but since the 15th century the house has been owned by a convent with the name Val Sint Elisabeth.
Until the mid-nineteenth century house Malborgh has been a farm, after which the present house was built. The further development in the terrain is very young. Arround the year 1970, the house has been owned by a doctor who has furnished the property antiques. After that period, there were offices in the castle. The house Malborgh lies almost in the center of Buggenum, but is not open to visitors.
