The 39.6-kilometre Maasplassen Circular Cycle Route takes you along the Maasplassen and through several villages on the River Maas. You start at Riverside Lounge in Maasbracht, near cycle junction 10. Along the way, water, villages and striking buildings alternate.

Through villages along the Maas

Following the cycle junction network, you ride through Maasbracht, Wessem, Heel and Linne. One moment you cycle along the lakes, and shortly afterwards you pass through a village or follow quiet roads through the countryside.

Mills, churches and Kasteel Horn

Along the route, you pass several mills and churches. You also cycle past the Clauscentrale and Kasteel Horn. Part of the route follows the Internationale Maasfietsroute.

Along the Noordplas and AREA-X

At the Noordplas, you cycle past AREA-X. Here you can see wakeboarders moving across the water, while several beach clubs line the shore. This gives this part of the route a lively atmosphere, with plenty of views over the water.
