Explore the nature reserves of KempenBroek
KempenBroek consists of several nature reserves that together create a varied landscape. Red deer live in Weerterbos, while in Laurabossen you can walk among pine trees and sand dunes. At Boshoverheide, you will find traces of the Bronze Age. Laarderheide, Tungelerwallen and Weerter- en Budelerbergen are also part of this landscape.
In the wetter parts of KempenBroek, water has plenty of room. Work is underway to restore the marshes in Wijffelterbroek. Water also plays an important role around Kettingdijk, Tungelroysebeek and De Krang. Further south lies Stramprooierheide, while at De IJzeren Man in Weert, nature and recreation come together.
