Nature reserve Leudal
The Leudal is a special nature reserve with an international status (Natura2000) because there is both special flora and fauna, which is worth protecting.
Every week Visitor Center Leudal organizes a number of activities for young and old that are related to nature. These include guided walking or cycling tours, trail searches, bird watching, scavenger hunts, etc. For the current offer see our events calendar or the website.
Wheelchairs on loan
Visitor Center Leudal has 2 off-road wheelchairs available for loan. This way even less mobile visitors can enjoy the beautiful nature in Het Leudal. The wheelchairs are equipped with a kind of balloon tires that are amazingly easy to move on soft surfaces such as beach, forest paths, snow and heath.
Group outings
On request, the visitor center also organizes (nature) outings for groups, if desired combined with a meeting room and/or snacks and drinks. This also applies to children, e.g. a birthday party combined with a nature discovery tour.
The Leudal Museum
The visitor center houses a regional museum, the Leudal Museum. This is a small-scale museum with a permanent collection focused on four aspects: flora and fauna of the Leudal, archaeology, local history and history (mainly World War II). In addition to the permanent collection, there is also a changing exhibition, mostly on current topics. This exhibition is renewed an average of four times a year. There is also a small store, where souvenirs, regional products and all kinds of products related to the Leudal are for sale.
All in all, the Visitor Center Leudal is a perfect start for a fantastic day of enjoyment in the Leudal!
